Future scientists could be encouraged by a holiday club held at New Life Church in Kingfield, Woking, this week.
The church was transformed into a science laboratory from Monday giving 140 children aged five to 11 an insight into the wonders of the modern world around them.
They enjoyed themed activities including hyperspeed games, test tube treats involving snack-making, 'wacky works' crafts and spotlight drama.
They also took part in the Bible Blast, where children entered into and acted out a story from the Bible and each day was based on a simple Bible verse.
Club organiser Matt Styles, children's worker, said more than 40 helpers from the church helped keep the fun going, many taking time off work.
He said: "It was loads of fun as always. I'm so grateful to everyone who helped."
A finale for the children and parents will be held at the church on Sunday, between 11am and 12 noon, followed by a barbeque.
Children who missed this year's holiday club can join the regular Kidz Klub at the church from September, which will be held once a month on Saturdays from 10am to 12 noon instead of Thursday evening.
For details call the church office, open 9am to 1pm, on 01483 725660.
